Feet Shrink?

I am currently past my four year mark.  I have been successful I lost over 100lbs in the first year and in the past 6 months have managed to lose 20lbs (not intentionally).

I have struggled with other health issues some related some not but have recently noticed that my shoe size has gone from what was size 9 to 10 depending on the shoes to now 7 1/2-8? I understand that feet can shrink in weight/width from weight loss, but I never really had fat feet.  They have always been really boney.  And this is not a width matter, I have lost lenght.  I thought that I could at least keep my shoes through my weightloss, but now I guess not.

Has anyone else had this experience or am I yet again one of the rarity?

Yup. I used to wear size 10 WW shoes and now I wear a 9 1/2 M or W. In fact, one foot is more of a 9 and the other is a 9 1/2. I can even fit much better into my daughter's size 8 Ugg slippers. Mine are a 9 and too big now. Weird. I think my whole view of myself is distorted but I probably didn't realize how fat they were before.

A strong woman is one who feels deeply and loves fiercely. Her tears flow just as abundantly as her laughter. A strong woman is both soft and powerful. She is both practical and spiritual. A strong woman in her essence is a gift to all the world.

See I never had fat feet...  at least not that I noticed.  I could always see bones and tendons etc... not like my hands which were fat.  Dr's were always surprised that my feet and legs never swelled, even during pregnancies.  I too noticed that my shoes were feeling big.  And then when I was shopping, I went to try on some shoes a few weeks ago.  I grabbed my usual size 9 and it was huge on my foot with a sock on.  I hadn't really tried to buy any shoes...except tennis shoes and slippers since I lost weight.  I used to be a "shoe junkie" because when I was fat my philosophy was a bad day shopping (when nothing fit) could always be resolved by a pair of shoes.  So I really hate that now I have to replace shoes.  I had some neat ones. Of course the upside is I can buy the awesome outfits to match now also.

I went from a 12 to 11 after my weight loss (I'm 6' tall; I need bigger feet for balance.  ).  My theory is that you have fat padding EVERYWHERE, feet included. When you lose weight, you lose it from EVERYWHERE, including the tip of your big toe and the back of your ankle.

That's what I was wondering...were my heels hiding some fat?  I am a normal gal.  ANY REASON TO BUY NEW SHOES is fine with me...but I do like the old ones too...

I wore a 7.5 pre-surgery.  Post-op I wore a 6 or a 6.5 , depending on the style of shoe.

If you think about it, it makes sense because your body isn't pushing downwards onto your feet as much, so the width wouldn't be there.

I went from 81/2 - 9 wide to regular 8.  I gave my old shoes to my daughters and went shopping!  I even bought some with 2 inch heels!! Never thought I would wear heels again.Bonus!

Oh well yeah!  I know heels are fun... I wear them alot.  I have even ventured up to 4 inches.  Except for the part of living in Wisconsin where there is usually ice on the ground a few months of the year... but I do have a strong husband...

It is definitely nice to wear them... And not feel like you are walking on sticks or being afraid that you are going to topple over at any moment.  I also love the way they make my butt look.
