wow. I am so glad to be back on the forum. Read the weeks posts to catch up. I know everyone is having a busy day today with friends and family.

This past week has been, lets say, difficult. But today the log sheet came back out and life goes on.

chicken soup
lots of decaf coffee
2 protein bars
some chicken, sweet potatoe and spinach
some s-n-a-c-k-s
toast and cheese
dried pinapple
soy chips

today's totals:
calories: 1545
protein: 53 grams
all fluids and vitamins

look forward to reading you all tomorrow..

I'm so glad to see you back here..I just knew you were having a difficult time..It's really a hard time of year for everyone..You can't get out due to weather and it's depressing..just seeing the weather we've had for the past week (rain!) has been depressing. I mean, if I wanted to live where it's overcast a majority of the time, I wouldn't live on the desert southwest! 7 days of no sun really is weighing heavy on me!

My day on Christmas was impossible to calculate but I do believe I made good choices..I made that pineapple upside down cake (sugar free!) and ate TWO pieces of it..and it was GOOOOO OOOD..LOL.

I also didn't keep track of what I ate either. I went totally *off road* for Christmas and while it was quite liberating, I still did alright. At least I think I did..

I ate breakfast normally but really early! I cleaned house all day and did laundry and cooked..On my feet all day long. By 8 pm, I was EXHAUSTED!

Then I snacked on mozzarella cheese, hard boiled eggs, roasted soy nuts..I ate a ground beef taco/burrito for lunch..just ground beef in a flour tortilla with ranch dressing..I also got all my vitamins and all my water! I made a whole container (64 oz) of Crystal Light Grapefruit and drank the WHOLE thing..plus several cups of hot Vanilla Chai Tea..

The oven is on it's last legs and gave us all sorts of trouble making Dinner. It looked like we were going to have to go out to eat like in the Christmas Story movie but we got it going. Then our friend (neighbor) offered us his spare oven...that might be what we do today..check out any weather damage it has and change it out..but our Christmas Dinner was saved..

I ate turkey breast on a Pillsbury Grands Biscuit (yup, full bread!) and green bean casserole (without the fried onions - I ran out) and some yams canned in heavy syrup but drained, mashed and added marshmallows (yup real sugar) and splenda blend brown sugar..

I ate two of those pieces of pineapple upside down cake with Redi Whip..

I slept like a baby last night for 9 hours!
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
