I read the prevention magazine all the time and they feature the flat belly diet alot, and trust me I have alot of belly fat. I have regained 30 pounds in the last 2 years, seems to come on in 5 pound increments. Ive tried the 5 day pouch test, I just cant seem to get back on track.

Debra,

You cannot get back on track because the track you are trying to get on is years away from you.  All you can do now is look for a new track.  Weigh****cher is the best place to go.  Don't go now, wait until after the first of the year and then make a new start with Weigh****chers and a great exercise plan.

Also be patient.  Our surgery has conditioned our bodies to do well in starvation mode.  If you can lose a pound every other week, by this time next year you will be at or close to your goal.

That seems like a long time, but the year will pass anyway and if you don't work at it, you will probably have even more weight to lose by next year.

We need to be much more careful about our diets than people who have not been surgically altered.  Going to meetings and being weighed weekly are wonderful motivators.  We are like everyone else, except that we do have the tool of a pouch that can make eating less much easier for us.

The only way to lose belly fat is to lose fat. Your body decides where the fat comes off and where it goes back on and there isn't much you can do about it. The "belly fat" diet is a scam so save your money.
