I am sitting here freaking out. My logical mind tells me not to panic but the fat girl in me is freaking out. I will be 4 years out from RNY in May. I did great with weight loss and staying on trac****il I started having seizures 2 years ago.I am 5"8 and weigh 153 lbs. At my lowest I was 138 lbs and wore a size six. I am now in a 8-10. My friends and family say I am looking better with a little weight on. I have gotten back into some bad habits. Not exercising like I should. Late night snacking. Drinking more coffee then water. Etc.. I am so afaaid of becoming overweight again. I know I just need to get back to the basics but I have been having some health concerns. I am also not able to drive so I can't get to the gym. There was a time when I would have given my right arm to be a size 8-10 and 153 lbs. Has anyone else gone through this? should could use a friend and support to help me get back on track.

I don't know anything about your condition, but I do suggest that you speak to whatever doctor is prescribing meds for your seizures.  It is possible that the changes in your eating may be directly related to them.

I can only speak from a similar situation.  When I was first diagnosed with manic-depression, I was put on lithium for that part of the problem along with an anti-depressant.  My doctor had the shrink take me off the lithium and put me on Depakote because lithium encourages eating ( since most manic-depressive people tend to decrease eating--note that I only said most).

This may not be your problem, but there are usually alternative drugs available.  Your doctor wouldn't know that a change may be advisable unless you tell him.

Let me ask the obvious question: What's your goal weight?  Answer that question and you will know what to do.

There is also the issue of clothes.  It seems like women have lots of different sizes in the closet BUT if you have size and they are getting tight the answer might be to do things to get them less tight (as opposed to buying bigger clothes).

Last I checked, walking outside is free so bundle up and start walking.
