Calories: 1424
Fat: 74.0
Carbs: 111.4
Protein: 91.8
We can work around adversity for at least a little while..I have to remember: "I can do this! This is only as hard as I make it!"
How did you do?
Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240
Now: 125.6
Goal: 130
Anyway, I've been abstinate from addictive foods since 7:00am on Sat. That's a major accomplishment for me. At first I was working on going an hour at a time. But now I'm up to the point where I can look at my abstinence as a day at a time. If tempted, I concentrate on remaining clean and abstinate in the moment. I can usually make it to the next hour.
I did keep a food diary for almost 5 months in 2009 and know that my eating at meals is not a problem. I generally eat between 1,600 and 1,800 cal per day. At my present weight of 337, I'll continue to lose weight with moderate exercise. That's just simple math. I would have to eat an exorbitant amount of calories to increase my weight and that's not going to happen through eating larger meals. I simply can't eat them. But, I do know that I can sabotage my program by eating addictive foods especially between meals.
I'm am hopeful that I will be able to build this new post-surgery life. One, I really hope, that will include more vegatables! Today I ordered a food processor. It should come soon, so I'm making plans. There are so many good recipes on www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com
I am happy you recommended it.
Today:
11am mac & cheese, dried pinapple
noon protein drink
1:30pm homemade turkey noodle soup
2pm soy chips
5pm protein bar
7pm quesadilla and dried pinapple
10pm more soup, three lifesavers and 1/4 cup cashews
Today's totals:
calories: 1430
protein: 76 grams
all of my fluids and vitamins.
hey, we had the same calorie count today! but you always have much more protein. I would like to increase mine, but I'm afraid to set it too high, because I had stage 3 kidney disease before surgery. My kidney function (and just about everything else) has improved since my weight loss, but I am still worried to stress them out too much.
Hoping tomorrow is a good day for you and everyone reading this post.
