Only eat when it is meal time.

Grazing tends to a be a gray area.  Sitting down at a table three times a day is pretty black and white.

Either it IS or it IS NOT meal time.  There is no in-between.

I eat 6 times a day--this way I never get hungry.  I've been doing it since May, and I know it has really helped my metabolism.

Grazing works really well for me!  I eat just about anytime I want, just concentrate on meal-size.

I'm learning that a small meal is plenty and if I want more in an hour or so, I can have more.  I'm hardly worried about calories/fat content within reason.  I'll have half a baked potato, with a little light-sour cream and butter, for example.  (*Of course, I take my daily vitamins and try to get enough protein.)

I weigh each morning around the same time and if I put on a few pounds, then I concentrate a little more on fat/calorie content.

I hope this is helpful.

What do you mean by grazing?  Are you talking about acceptable foods or your own addictive foods?  I'm clean from my addictive foods now, but when I'm not, my wife says it seems like I'm constantly eating:  pretzels, candy, Ice cream, potato chips, cookies, etc.  Oh, I do get the food I'm supposed to eat in there also.

Now that I've been clean for a week, I tned to graze on protein powder.  I'm probably the only person who does this, but I pour protein powder into a large medicine bottle (brown type with white lid from pharmacy) and eat it with a plastic spoon.  I do make sure I get my fluids in.  This is especially good for me at night when I would eat anything that wasn't nailed down.  Now I can just have protein powder or string cheese, or another source of protein.  I try to not drink at night due to prostate problems (even with corrective meds).  By the way, I just got some Syntrax Matrix Mint Cookie flavored protein powder.  It's getting me through the tough spots.

I graze on protein powder not protein bars.  I used to love the bars, but they are too much like candy bars for me.  Also, there's a big difference in cost.  Protein powders provide the best amt of protein per cost and per calories.  I advise people to check the labels on the protein tubs or bags.  The easiest way to do this is to go to www.netrition.com and put in the manufacturer's name and then look up the individual product.  Once you have selected a product, you can link up for nutritional info.  Note:  you can buy your products wherever you want.  I just find this easier than standing in the aisle of a store and trying to seek the info.

If you want samples of various products, go to www.vitalady.com since she does sell individual serving packets.

Night time is the grazing time I struggle with. I keep Crystal Light sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello around. At only 10 calories a serving, I let myself indulge in more than one.
