Well, our internet went out so I'm over parked in front of the neighbor's house (with his blessing) to update you all on how I did today..Our friends went home this morning and I have to go and stay with my dad for a couple days while my step mom goes and takes care of funeral arrangements for her father..Yeah, the man was 97 years old..it wasn't entirely expected but my dad is in poor health so I get daddy duty this week..I may or may not get to access the internet. We'll have to see.

Here's my day in a nutshell:

Breakfast: 1/4 serving protein waffle, 1/4 apple, 1/3 serving sugar free syrup

2Breakfast: 3 egg whites, 2 slices rye toast no crust, 2 slices tomato..plenty of coffee..half my vitamins

at least three containers of water, 3 cups of hot tea..still not 100% but I'm at least 95%

Lunch: 2 cups turkey noodle soup

another container of water

Dinner: a medium flour tortilla with 5 ounces turkey breast meat, 1 oz cheddar cheese

I figured a way to count the slices of cranberry cheese bread. I'm using the numbers from fruit nut bread

So I may have a slice of that before bed.

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1701
Fat: 68.5
Carbs: 123.6
Protein: 151.9

Not bad. I need more complex carbs.

How did you do?

I hope to see you tomorrow. Take care!

Sorry to hear of your woes. Hope all works out for the best.

Today was another day of leftovers. You know, I am supposed to make another turkey dinner in December for visitors (fortunately for my weight, I don't celebrate Christmas). After watching the calories add up with 1/4 cup servings of leftovers, I am replanning the next meal to be much more "eater friendly". I hope to incorporate many of the great suggestions I have received lately.

today:
8am turkey, stuffing, gravy
12:30pm scalloped corn, sweet potatoes, coleslaw and roll.
1pm protein drink
3pm scalloped corn, sweet potatoes, cranberry jelly, brown bread
6pm turkey, gravy, coleslaw and roll

9pm hiding in my bedroom with the computer, so I won't eat more..

Today's totals:
calories: 1775
protein: 72 grams
all of my water and vitamins

hope I see you tomorrow and good luck with everything.

I know how the rest of the world is married to their stuffing but I got really lucky. My family just doesn't eat the stuff. I tried to make it all sorts of different ways and they just won't eat it. I end up eating all of it..so forget that stuffing..I put a chopped up onion and some celery in that cavity with salt and rosemary and be done with it. LOL. For some reason, I can pass on the cranberry jelly and they eat it up like crazy..I just dont' like it so much anymore. I did make a sugar free variety of it a couple years ago but 2 cups of cranberry jelly that no one but me will eat...didn't seem too right to me.

You're doing pretty good! Hold on, the left overs can't last for ever...it just seems that way!

Keep up the good work. See ya.

You have to do what you can with what you have..I'm stuck at my dad's and although he's diabetic and should eat like a hypoglycemic (which I have RH also) he doesn't so it's a struggle..I brought things but not for snacks at home..for work. So I drank alot of tea to hold off till dinner.

Another thing that's good for that is jerky..I keep jerky in my purse for that reason..

You're doing great! Keep up the good work. See ya.
