Accountability - Friday
Well, I made it through the big stuffage fest and I was stuffed. I made good enough choices but that sugar free cranberry cheese bread is still calling my name..has been all day..I managed to stay away from it pretty good but I figure one piece before bed will be fine. Also, I picked up a cold..my son brought it home from his friends house...thanks! My chest is tight and I feel just bad. So I ate mostly turkey noodle soup (home made) today:
Coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
Cup of Mint Tea
Cup of Chocolate Hazelnut Tea
24 oz Drink Mix, GV Strawberry
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 pc rye toast, no crust, 2 slices bacon..
Cup of herb tea -
Lunch: 2 cups turkey noodle soup
nap time
Second lunch: 2 cups turkey noodle soup
24 oz Drink Mix, Wyler's Peach Tea
24 oz DRink Mix, GV Strawberry
24 oz Drink Mix, Hawaiian Punch Orange
Dinner: 5 oz cheese burger (before cooking) on a sandwich thin with tomato and mayo
Bed will be very soon even if it's only 5:30...I'm really feeling crappy..
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1450
Fat: 60.6
Carbs: 82.4
Protein: 145.7
But I did okay. I may have another cup of tea, some vitamin C (oh, I got all my vitamins and THEN some with the C and extra garlic..).

One of my blinding insights since starting this daily post and visiting with you, is how silly I have been with sugar. I told myself that I just couldn't eat that much and that I just was not a diabetic anymore, so I went for it as I could. Big mistake. The only reason I'm not diabetic is because of the weight loss and if I don't protect that, the weight will come back and so will the diabetes and everything that went along with it.. So..out came the splenda. Change is in the wind.. and good companions are a really valuable possession.
Today:
1pm leftovers: 1/4 cup each: stuffing, scalloped corn, squash, and turkey with a dab of gravy.
2pm Protein drink
3pm decaf coffee and brown bread (B&M Brown Bread)
3:30pm small little piece of cake
5pm loftovers: 1/4 cup turkey, 1/2 cup coleslaw, roll
6pm more coffee and brown bread
7pm more brown bread (coupled with a reflection on carb addiction)
8pm one lifesaver (peppermint)
9pm back in the kitchen and jello salad, 1/2 cup
10pm mini York peppermint pattie
thought I was safely upstairs and finishing the day at 1545 calories, when it hit... back down the dark stairs, fishing around for the light switch and dishing up rather full slice of cake...
I really need to get this refined carb/sugar thing under control.
