Up really early today. I guess I'm excited over being off next week but that excitement was swelched when they told me at work that they're playing with the idea of a major update or a complete system change on my job..I'll be stressed for sure next year!

I am so amazed at how illuminating it is to post this each day. I so thought that I was still not eating much. My friends say: "Is that all you're going to eat??" And I have started to think like that. big mistake.. we all tend to over eat in a big way and that habit was deadly for me. As I record each item and look up the calorie count and add it all up, something different takes shape in front of me.

I have been very interested to see the hot liquids that you drink during the day. I think this is a good idea for me as they are more satisfying than when I only drink water. And they will increase my fluids and hopefully satisfy me so I don't graze at much.

11 am (I stay up late and sleep late. It's good to be retired..) I small tortilla and 1/3 cup beef and bean burrito (homemade)
12 noon Protein drink
2 pm hot dog with roll
3:30 pm soy chips (serving size: 17 chips) 13 chips (that's all that was left in the bag..
4 pm one dried pinapple ring
5 pm large mug of decaf coffee
6 pm I small tortilla and 1/3 cup beef and bean burrito (homemade), not really enough to satisfy, so..
6:30 pm 2 1/2 turkey bacon slices and one egg
7 pm really on a roll now. 1/4 cup dried cherries
8 pm slice of bread toasted with butter
10 pm 2 mini York Peppermint patties
11 pm hiding upstairs with water and evening vitamins so I don't eat anything else..

today: got in all of my supplements and water
today's calories: 1405
today's protein: 82 grams

see you tomorrow

It is good to be retired! My husband is retired and we still get up really early. The difference is, when I'm just about ready to leave for work, he might take a little nap! LOL..We were watching the news at 6 am yesterday and I looked over and he had the recliner set way back and was napping! heheheh..

LOL about the hiding..Some days I have to find all sorts of reasons to stay out of the kitchen cuz I have too many things I can just pop in my mouth..I keep that stuff as WLS friendly as I can but still..I think all the sugar free stuff says "Not a low calorie food." on it.

You did good. Keep up the good work. See ya.

job stress and the holidays, not a good combo! I did okay today; so far!
0800-100 cal thin, fried egg rf cheese
1030-animal crackers
1300-yummy salad of mixed greens, roasted shicken few walnuts with scatter of bleu cheese crumbles and a slice of flat bread
1830-1/2 serving lean cuisine mac n cheese, brocoli and chicken
2030-baking now are some peanutbutter cookies made with applesauce and splenda. They did not look thick enough so I added some oatmeal.
I enjoyed a day off had tea and a walk with a friend, lunch and shopping with DD and am now watching some tween TV with DD.

I tend to worry too much about things like that. I think or over think things at work but that keeps me on top of deadlines..And then it gives me something to think about and plan further ahead. dear hubby told me he wants to go to Europe this summer so I may be asking for a month off and that had me thinking about really cool things. Like how I can ask for stuff to eat and keep up my protein requirements..LOL.

Woo Hoo on your day. You did good. And the weather is cold so we'll  have the urge to eat MORE carbs..I guess cuz they really do keep you warm.

See ya.
