Trying to get my recipes together for Thanksgiving..and make changes so that they are more bariatric friendly for me. I know Thanksgiving is going to be a free day where I won't even do my fitday calculations or keep track of my eating..I'll be totally off road that day..scary stuff for an OCD like myself but I figure I could use the experience. I'll probably be so scared that I'll lose a pound or two over that weekend! LOL. Hubby took me out to dinner as a surprise tonight..and I even had a margarita...sheesh. I'm such a light weight!

My eats:

5:30 am 1/4 serving protein waffles, 1/2 apple, 1/3 serving sugar free pancake syrup

vitamins: multi vitamin, omega 3 (non enteric coated), garlic oil, lethicin, B-12 sublingual (500)

6:00 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

6:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

8:20 am 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat

9:15 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Lipton Peach Tea

10:40 am pork burrito: 4 oz pork roast, 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 medium flour tortilla

12:45 pm 1 small orange, 1T peanut butter

1:45 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Morning Spark Grapefruit Caffeinated

2:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Lipton Lemon Tea

3:00 pm 1 small pear, raw

Vitamins: 1 Calcium Citrate, B-12 sublingual (500)

4:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Hawaiian Punch Orange

4:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Crystal Light Mixed Berry (for digestive health)

6:00 pm 1 margarita...well, most of one

6:30 pm 1 fish taco and about 8 chips with salsa

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1504
Fat: 56.8
Carbs: 139.8
Protein: 89.3

Not bad..Of course, I could have done better on the protein and I'll try tomorrow but I'm happy with that..I could have done a whole lot worse. LOL. I'm sure the numbers, if I do them for next Thursday, would curl my hair, if I actually calculated them.. hahahah..no way. I'm going to resist the temptation to check fitday ALL DAY..

How did you do?

I read your post two days ago and decided right away to keep a daily food chart. I considered delaying it because yesterday was a major holiday for my family. But I resisted the urge to procrastinate and began anyway. Two parties later, I added up my first day calculation.. It is very hard for me to calculate amount and calories when I am out at someone's home and eating a sample from all of the delicious entrees displayed in front of me! I'm not saying this is totally accurate but I thin****pt my total calories to just under 1500.

Today was just as hard with the leftovers sitting in front of me.
10:30 am. Protein drink
10:30 am. leftovers....
11:30 am. decaf coffee
11:30 am. 3 spice cookies, this part isn't going to get better..
1:30 pm. leftovers....
4 pm. 3 more of those spice cookies
5 pm. one chicken hot dog and one hot dog roll (brilliant dietary choices, please note the deplorable lack of vegatables)
6:30 pm dried pinapple ring (is this still a fruit?)
7:30 pm. one serving soy chips
8:30 pm. another one of those spice cookies (they can't last forever)

and at some point I remember eating a half slice of carrot cake. It was a really good holiday.. and Thanksgiving is next week. I think I started this just in time!

Today's calorie count is estimated at 1300.

The leftovers are gone. The cookies aren't. But I am still expecting tomorrow to be better.

Have a blessed and peaceful night.

I've been measuring at home so much that I can pretty much guess when I got out, how much I get..It will come with time.

Last week when we had the barbeque, I measured out the burger patties and weighed the first couple of them (5 oz) and then didn't measure again till the last one and that was within about 1/8...not bad. It's all a guestimate..

You're doing good..keep up the good work..see ya.
