Anyone hear of this??

Hi yall! I'm Meggie from the Texas Board. I am 3 yrs out and have been at goal for 1.5 years. in that 3 yrs I have had 19 hospital stays and 8 surgeries, but it is the latest I would like to ask you all about. Have any of yall had a paralised (sp?) stomach or know anyone who has?? We have got it working again after a team of GI' Docs, 2 bariatric and another GI specialist got on the case. They believe it was due to my Topamax I had just started taking to prevent migraines since it was the only change in my regime.

Anyone hear of this? The Docs know it can happen with severe cases of diabetes but I'm not nor ever have been diabetic. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I did a short search on  "Topomax caused stomach paralysis" and found it can cause tongue paralysis occasionally and I think that's close enough. I've never heard of it or experienced it at all...

Thanks! I had googled it and only found a blog about one case of it and a few other side effects.
