I have been looking at before & after pics. of wls patients. I get frustrated because I lost over 100lbs, but still have thunder thighs, tho. they are smaller. And the shar pei skin hanging over knees & swaying when I walk makes me self concious.
But today I had phone call from friend who's son has been in Afghanastan(sp) and he was injured in road side bomb explosion. One leg gone, the other may have to come off. He's to be sent to San Diego,Ca. for rehab.
I thought to myself, wow you have been so self centered. Here's a young man who's lost a leg, will have to learn how to use prostheics and new way of walking. And I complain of hanging skin????? I have legs, maybe not pretty ones but they get me places. I can do things for myself & drive, run, all the things I take for granted.
My heart goes out ot him & his family. It will be adjustment for them all. He will do fine, as he's very strong willed & won't let things get him down.
So now, no more complaining from me, I'll just deal with my problems as he must do now. Accept that at least I'm healthy, able to live longer.
So please say a prayer for all service people, they give they're all for us.
Big gentle (((HUGS))
Take care,
Kathy

Thank you Kathy...it's always nice to be reminded to look at things in a proper perspective..

I was complaining about how my feet hurt until I saw a man with no feet..I think that's how the saying goes.

Have a great week..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
