3 Years Out
This November will be my 3 year anniversary of WLS. It's been a wild ride!
I'd really love to share my experiences with people who are considering surgery, are recent post-ops and those who have been out a while.
We can all learn from each other and benefit from our experiences.
Please take a moment to read my blog. In it I share my experiences and what I do to stay in shape and keep the weight off.
I hope to encourage others to stay on track. WLS is serious. It's a huge life change. Together we can succeed!

How do I find others on Facebook?
My surgery was 10/25/2001 so in a few weeks I will be celebrating my 9th anniversary after gastric bypass RNY. It is serious and surely life changing but it is worth the effort.
Last September I had surgery for an internal hernia and twisted small intestine. This complication usually shows up within 2 years of surgery but for some reason my problem came later. I had lap surgery to fix the problems along with a 5 day hospital stay and a tube down my nose into my stomach. I have to say that I feel 100% better now.
At first I had no appetite after the hernia surgery and ended up losing 10 pounds, but then I was feeling better and was able to eat and not have belly pain all the time, so I gained it back. Right now I am getting myself on track to eat the best foods again.
My weight loss was 113 pounds and I have kept off 90% of it.
