Trying really hard to work on this gallbladder thing. You'll see some pretty low protein numbers today. I also went to the allergist today. The antibiotics aren't kicking this stupid chest cold (now). I got a breathing treatment but that wore off and now there seems to be a giant fat elephant sitting on my chest. I certainly can't go and see my dad, who just got out of the hospital with this chest cold...damn it! This getting old crap flat sucks!

5:45 am 1/4 serving protein waffle with sugar free syrup

6:15 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

7:00 am 20 oz herb tea (actually flax seed tea with splenda and TruLemon)

8:30 am 2 medium raw carrots

9:00 am 12 oz Chamomile Tea with splenda

9:45 am 12 oz Chamomile Tea with splenda

10:30 am 1 oz turkey breast deli meat, 1 salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, peas, balsamic vineagret)

11:30 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Morning Spark Grapefruit Caffeinated

1:15 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Hawaiian Punch Orange

3:00 pm 1/2 cup cole slaw

4:00 pm 24 oz Water and ice only.

4:30 pm 12 oz Water and ice only

6:30 pm 4 oz t-bone steak, 3 oz baked yam with the skin

7:45 pm 1 medium nectarine

So here are my sorry numbers:

Calories: 966
Fat: 38.3
Carbs: 100.7
Protein: 66.1

Now that is just sad..I can have more water and I'll struggle to get that nectarine in (not done with it yet) but tomorrow is another day..I see the allergist again on Monday and my PCP on Tuesday afternoon about the gallbladder..

How did you do?
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

This is accountability. I am 22 days short of being 3 yrs out of surgery.  And this past year I've gain 15 lbs.  My goal weight is 142, my lowest weight was 149 (for a moment) I averaged 153 when I was working out, I've stopped because I got busy with my Dad moving here. I'm now up to 167 and my size 10P are TIGHT!
I need some help!

Stress is a killer! It ruins everyone's resolve AND it makes it impossible to plan your day so...you got lots of listeners here!

I have a couple of suggestions. You can do it if you want or I can just listen to what you plan on doing..I would start where you are. Start journaling your foods...nothing different, just see what it is that you DO eat. And then look at the list. If you're getting too much fat, sugar, carbs - it will jump off the page at you. If you're not getting enough water or you're drinking with meals, that will jump off the page too. Then make A change or TWO. Nothing drastic at first but change something. Make a conscience effort to lower your sugar or fat or increase your protein or drink more water and less junk..

Then, because you feel so much better, move some more. If you get up and move even alittle, you'll burn some calories. Maybe not alot at first, alittle is enough for a while..Park further from Walmart. Park further from the office...get up and walk before you eat your lunch. Pack yourself some healthy snacks for work..start planning healthy meals instead of foraging when you get home.

Rome wasn't built in a day. You can do it fast if you figure you'll stick with it but I knew I wouldn't stick with drastic changes except after surgery..and now the changes are second nature.

You'll get that all under control..it just takes a step in the right direction and one day of "oops" isn't going to ruin the whole thing if you start slow..then alittle more and alittle more..

Good luck to you..We're here to listen so take a step and see how it feels!

Thanks it reminds me of Randy Carlson's intentional living strategy.  I don't need to track, I've done that. I know exactly.  It's not enough protein, empty carbs, too much sugar ****ep saying I'm like a sugar junkie!!) I do drink when I eat and I'm not getting enough water.
So today, I will do that one thing and drink more water!
Thanks, I'll check in and let you know how it's going.
