26 months out Help
I am 26 months out from surgery I have lost 165 lbs I am happy with that. What I am having trouble with it being hungry again now. I miss that full feeling with a little bit of food. I am controlling it but it scares me I have a 5 to 7 lb swing. How can I get that tight stay full feeling again. Wish I had just kept eating two ozs and not gone and upped my intake. I don't drink with my meals I still follow the rules any help would be great.
Hi, I'm 3 yers out and the best way I find to get the full feeling is to eat dense foods. I stay away from soups or anything juicy and eat a lot of solid meats, raw carrots, that kind of stuff. But if you're keeping your range between those 5-7 pounds and not really gaining then I wouldn't worry too much, you're still on the right track. Many people have a weight swing that covers that many pounds. Just keep and eye on that upper number and make sure you aren't climbing.
5'4" start weight 233, current 122 lb.

I agree with Not_Quite_Barbie. I've read where you get hungry faster with not enough protein. My husband had the lapband 3 weeks ago. His pre-op diet was shakes, soups and bars. When he ate enough protein, he was not very hungry. On the days where he didn't get enough protien, he was hungrier. I've noticed the same thing (I had RNY 4 years ago). When I eat protein, dense foods or unprocessed foods, I stay full longer.
I wish you well.
