Yeah...I wasn't busy until dinner time. We went out for our anniversary dinner and I didn't do too bad. It's a celebration day so I had a margarita..didn't even do my counts but here is how it stacked up:

B: 1/4 serving protein waffle. I've started adding soy milk instead of water...boosts the protein that way, I guess.

2B: about half of a 6 egg omelet and none of the hashed browns

Lunch: Left over tilapia over a bed of cabbage with tartar sauce...this was actually pretty good.

Dinner: about half of a 12 oz prime rib and the whole ceaser salad they bring you at Black Angus. Hubby ate the baked potato. First I had the margarita so you know I wasn't paying too much attention. Then our friends ordered that chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. I actually took about 3 tiny bites. Of course I didn't dump but still...

My really bad thing was that I didn't have enough water yesterday and didn't take hardly any of my vitamins. I've been really bad about tha latelyt. I take them in the morning and then have to remember later to take the calcium and I don't. Thursday I took the calcium and didn't take anything else. I only got 72 oz of water and one of those containers was caffeinated..so Just 48 oz of water. Somewhere else I could use improvement when I have days off.

You did good..I could do much better! Well, none of us is perfect. Least of all me.

We didn't talk as much about the surgery (I'm working on not talking about it so much) but she did say that she knows a BUNCH of people who have had the surgery and I'm the only one who has kept the weight off..I just think that's sad but wonder why I can make this look so darn easy.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

  Happy Anniversary a day late!

You are a success because you work at it every day! Surgery on one day cannot fix a lifetime of poor eating habits and lack of exercise. It takes daily healthy habits to be a success and starting over when you stray.

I am not at goal and have never been at goal, so do not necessarily consider mself a success in a weight stand point. I do feel like a success that I am healthy, active, and do things I would never do at 300 pounds. I admit to being envious of friends who had this surgery that dropped all their weight and seem to stay there with less effort  than I put in. They do not exercise at all! I just accept this is me and if this as small as I can get but am happy and healthy then stop looking at my neighbors yard!

I think that's the goal, actually. healthy and happy..I don't think it has as much to do with a number on the scale. It just makes me a little sad when a friend sees what someone has done and thinks they aren't successful, in their mind..They can only tell what they see because they have NO idea what the scale says or whether the person they look at is healthy..The whole world is so superficial..

I do work at it and I'm willing to work at it. As hard as it takes to keep me from ever being obeses again. Thanks
