coconut oil?
ok so every since surgery 5 years ago, I am steadily looking into things that are "good for you" or that will help one lose/maintain weight. I recently discovered chia seeds as a way of getting in daily omega 3's and a little extra fiber. Since I suffer with an underactive thyroid I accidentally saw online how coconut oil is good for stimulating the thyroid. There is alot of mixed controversy on the topic of coconut oil. There are tons of info about it. I went ahead and bought some this past weekend and decided to give it a try. I figure I'll do it for a month and see what happends. anyone have any opinions to throw in the hat? The testimonials seem really convincing. If you care to read about it just google virgin coconut oil,,,,let me know what you all think?

I use it all the time. love it. It is great for high heat or for baking. I use it in my protein muffins and protein cookies.
I also use it on my hair and my face - or body. very little goes a long way.
The only problem with that is that my little cat loves it too - and when i put that on me - he follows me and licks the oil from my skin. So now - after I use it on my - I rub the oil all over my kitten and my cat. They love it.
For hair - i use 1-2 tsp and rub into the hair and my scalp. keep it on for 15 min to 12 hrs 912 hrs- wrapped in a thin towel) and wash as usual. Great conditioner. And so cheap. Sometimes I add some Vit E oil to the mix.

Hi Candy, very interesting I to have Hypothyroidism and rely on medication which I take 150mcgs at the moment. How do you use this oil? I'm interested to know. I also love aromatherapy oils which I blend for myself an apply after a bath or shower, zesty grapefruits and lemons to invigorate....and lavender to relax. I bet cocunut oil would be lovely too - Jan
