Accountability-Monday
The one thing that I like about the 5dpt is that it gives the pouch an opportunity to shrink down to a good manageable size if it's stretched out..and when I get stressed, I do that on my own..yikes!
Don't you just hate it when something that is suppose to be healthy for you (like yogurt) is loaded with sugar and carbs? Drives me crazy! When I looked at the carb number I couldn't figure what was making it that high. Can you believe the numbers for something supposadly so healthy like a BANANA? For about two years, I couldn't even eat them because it would cause a hypoglycemic reaction and the only thing that helped would be a cracker (causing another one later!)
So you peaked early, then down and then back up with the banana and then down again and then back up again with the cereal...You were on a rollercoaster, dear! Whether you do the atkins again or the 5dpt, work on leveling out the carbs so that they're level or more level if you can..it will probably help with the cravings. and of course, water water water..
My son is a 26x32..He's a bean pole..It drives me crazy because there just aren't any jeans that size! and when he wears out the rear or the knees, I go crazy trying to find a replacement..We call him "stick boy" for a reason! I've taken to buying him 28s and he has to hike them up all day long because he won't wear a belt..sigh...boys!
I never liked eggplant either but coated with EVOO and sprinkled with garlice granules and tossed on the grill next to the burgers...yum. I can get into anything with EVOO and garlic. LOL>

2 eggs
1/2 cup cottage cheese (non-fat; low fat; regular..whatever you prefer)
1/3 cup low carb or whole grain pancake mix
I got some CarbThin Soy Baking Mix in vanilla and chocolate and the recipe on that was;
3 scoops protein baking mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup water
So I sort of combined the two recipes:
2 eggs
1/2 cup non-fat cottage cheese
1/3 cup pancake mix (I use low carb CarbQuick)
1 or 2 scoops soy protein baking mix (Carb Thin)
or 1 scoop of that AND 1/4 cup of peanut butter flour (like PB2)
about 1/2 cup water
Seriously the PB2 didn't do much for me but it might be alittle on the old side or I need to use more.
Be sure and spray the iron with Pam..otherwise, you'll be eating crumbs and picking stuff out of the iron for quite a long time.

This is the key..
mix the egg and liquid first..cottage cheese and that first..turn the mixer OFF and add the powdery stuff. Mix that just barely enough to get it combined..that seems to be the key. Mixing it too much might be the problem.
I was having a problem with leaving the mixer running while I dinked around the kitchen and the skin on the waffle got tough and nasty when I pulled it out of the iron. Now that I do this LESS is better thing..it works MUCH better.
I apparently hate tough skinned waffles. LOL.
