What do you think about now? Looking for those a few years out.
Preop 242 Height 5'4" Current: 145 Want to get back to 135. ZERO Complications! ZERO Vomiting (Chew, chew, chew)! ZERO Regrets!
I am four and a half years out as of july the 27th and have to say was the most amazing thing I ever did for myself. I still worry more about getting protein in than anything. I dont stay hungry still even after all these years but can still eat pretty good. I have always had issues with my iron even before WLS so am pretty used to that. Things have went pretty smooth for me in the overall pic. I still think about what goes into my mouth and always will because of where I started. I also up a pound, and down a pound but think that is normal. But feel so blessed for sure....
Starting weight-410 And now 160 ;O)
Mostly I am concentrating on my fitness goals and less on my food. I have a routine with food and it works pretty well.
I have started to think of myself as a person who watches my weight vs. a person who struggles with my weight. I still log my food, I still weigh every day, I still watch everything, but I feel less driven by it.

The best parts are my youngest doesn't remember me being that fat, my daughter loves wrapping her arms around my waist, and my oldest son loves all the running, biking, etc things I do with him. Life with my hubby was pretty good before, and even better now. I could go on and on, but I've rambled on enough lol...

You want it to be low. If it's high, that means your body is working hard to mine calcium from your bones.

I'm more than five years out. Mostly, I just think about not snacking so much. I can honestly say there is absolutely no difference between me and "normal" people. I can eat as much as anyone else and the same food as any other person. I feel like my "things" are everyone's things now. Don't overeat, get off this 20 pounds of marital bliss I've added after my wedding, exercise, quit the snacking, etc etc.
I did the surgery to be normal, and I really feel that I finally have reached that. :)

Today I am eight years post-op! Happy Anniversary to me!
I can honestly say, having my RNY was one of the best choices I have made for myself. I am healthier, and happier. I look fab, and for the most part, feel fab. All my levels are normal, however I have had problems with dumping since day one. I'd rather dump, than be fat.
I seriously don't live my life as if I have had this huge change (surgery) in my life. I think it's a matter of coming to terms, new life, things happening, life changes...you just go on. I am now dealing with losing some un-wanted weight gain from taking lyrica (spelling?) for nerve pain. About 25 lbs. to be exact. It sux, the first time I have had to deal with gaining since my surgery. I'm very conscience about what I put in my mouth, and am trying to slowly get back to my size 6's! I'm in a 10 now, and it is really messing with my head!
Anyway- I'm on facebook if anyone needs advice or just wants to chat!
