XPost Bradycardia & Plateau??
I posted this on the RNY forum but thought there might be someothers who came here on a regular basis....
I'm dealing with the super low pulse issue and headed toward having a pacemaker implanted in 3 weeks. I posted about what was going on a few weeks ago and want to thank you guys for your feedback. I felt like I was prepared with questions & concerns that my Doc answered and addressed.
So here's my latest question for yall. My weight loss stopped about a year ago. Coincidentally about the same time that my heart rate seems to have begun to slow down. Is it possible that my body has put itself into a hibernation mode of sorts? It hasn't mattered what I've eaten or what I've done - the scales haven't budged. Not one lb up or down.
I'll be marking my 2 year surgiversary on August the 8th. regardless of the numbers ont he scales I'm honestly healthier and happier than I've ever been. (Potential pacemaker aside)

I've been diagnosed with Sinus Bradycardia and my pulse at the Doctor is usually in the 50's. This doesn't seem to bother me: I run 3 miles twice a week, do strength training and all kinds of other things. It's pretty much a non-issue and a recent ECG didn't show any problems.
I do know that bodies can enter a "starvation reaction" if you don't eat enough but you can prevent this by boosting the excercise. Maybe train for a 5K or 10K, all that cardio should help the weight loss.
