Grazing
Grazing can be a big problem for me and I'm working on stopping. I'm planning my food for the day and recording it on the OH food log. My snack section is way bigger than my meal section. Those darned carbs go down so easy. I'm trying to get the carbs at 50 or below.
I fill up so quickly at mealtime. I'm having trouble with protein. Most of it I don't like.

Okay - so you already know that "grazing" (be it grazing on good stuff or not so good stuff) is a slippery slope that leads to a whole bunch of no good.
I think some key things to focus on are:
What do you typically graze on?
Can you remove that stuff from your surroundings?
(ie: do you have a bunch of snacks visible at your desk? if so, take them across the office & put them in a cabinet/ put them in one of your draws/ out of sight = out of mind)
Do you track your intake? If not, perhaps you should think about doing so. It might help you to ID those habits, what time, what you feel like when your grazing, what's making you do that- & nip it in the bud.
The point is - its great that you've already IDed the main problem & you've said it out loud - Grazing is your weakness. Now you can move on to adjusting some of those habits to help you rectify your "weakness" & turn it in to an opportunity :)

Thank you ladies for posting.. I'm a stay at home mom so all food is available to me. My grazing is usually good foods, unfortunately even too many of those make the calories add up. Due to my highest weight being 401lbs the food in my home is rarely bad. Animal cookies are about as bad as it gets. Even still, constant grazing and three broken bones in my foot have led to a 40+lb weight gain. August 1st I'll be released to start a walking and back to running program again, so I'm hoping life will be back to normal for me. No excuses though, this is all of my own doing! I find both your postings very inspiring, and will work hard to be as healthy as I can. Once again thanks for responding. Love, JennV
