Hmmm. I went to have my labs drawn again and last year they pulled 14 vials (before the fiasco where they needed 3 more) and this year they pulled six..what is up with that? I did call my surgeon and the nurse told me they don't care if I chew gum...Hmm. Now I'm mad all over again. LOL not really but it sounds good. They'll let me know if the lab didn't draw enough blood though. Now that didn't make me happy!

My eats for Wednesday:

5:30 am 24 oz Clear Water and Ice

6:30 am 24 oz Clear Water and Ice

8:00 am 1/4 serving protein waffles with 1 Tablespoon peanut butter (vitamins: multi, b-12, biotin, d-3, omega 3)

8:30 am 12 oz coffee with splenda and sugar free creamer...I poured a cup of my coffee into a Starbucks cup 12 oz, and it fit so from now on, it's 12 oz of coffee, not 10. Not that it matters. it's not the coffee that has any measurable calories! (and a slice of sugar free blueberry bread)

9:30 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Hawaiian Punch Orange (calcium citrate)

11:00 am 1/4 cup cole slaw

12:00 pm 1/4 lb cheese burger, lettuce wrapped, tomatoes, onion, pickles, thousand island dressing

1:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry

2:15 pm 1 hard boiled egg, 1 oz cheddar cheese stick

3:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Morning Spark Grapefruit Caffeinated

4:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Lipton Raspberry Tea

6:00 pm 4 oz pork chop, 1/2 small baked sweet potato

Tell me about it...I don't mind the needle, I just don't look. I like it better when they use the butterfly (the remote needle gathering thingy) so they don't wiggle my arm when they switch vials but this guy didn't..I absolutely hate fasting. I get cranky and I can't eat the whole day after that. I have my schedule and my timing and it just throws me off..I lost another pound so I'm down to 127.2 from 130 on Sunday..sigh...I know, I know...people in hell want ice water too. LOL.

Good list. You always get really good carbs..no white ones. Those bagel thins are amazing. I got some just so I could have smoked salmon and cream cheese. That's a left over from being married into a jewish family. LOL. I do miss my bagels and lox.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

I hope the new job keeps you busier..that would probably help don't you think?

Awesome list. You always have such a varied list with different things. Don't you think you eat so much better now? I remember before surgery I was throwing any little questionable thing in my mouth...Hamburger Helper was the worst...Now it's real meat, real veggies..I can list whats on my plate in real words and not like "mystery ingredient." LOL.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

wait - whats wrong w/ chewing gum at this stage?? as long as we dont swallow it, right??
Funny - i trip about that every time i chew gum OMG DONT SWALLOW DONT SWALLOW!!!
Which takes all the fun out of it lol

I HATE taking my annual labs for exactly that reason. I swear one year, they had to pull like 20 vials! Another year, my system decided it wasnt giving up more than 5 vials (which was like drawing blood from a rock at that!), so i had to leave & go back another day.

You always have such a great variety of foods & liquids. I totally use your posts as a template for what to eat b/c i know i get caught up in eating the same thing day after day & week after week. So, its nice to see the things that work for those of us who are successful at maintaining.

The nurse at the surgeon's office had the same reaction! She couldn't see any reason why I couldnt' chew sugar free gum...so, next year I'm forewarned..I can tell them my doctor said..They also recommended that I drink plenty of clear water before the tests because my blood pressure is SO low, they nearly had that trickle effect on me last year.

Fitday works for me for exactly that same reason. Because I eat pretty much the same things on different days of the week, I can always go to my recent lists and pull out anything I've eaten that day..The waffle recipe is a constant entry (because I make a  whole serving but only eat half of it that day)..

half serving:
1 egg
1/2 serving (1/3 cup) carbquick
1/2 serving (1 scoop) carb thin, soy protein baking mix
1/2 serving (1/2 cup) non fat cottage cheese
1/2 serving (1/4 cup) sugar free syrup.

Now, I'm debating whether to put in the parkay squeeze stuff..I know it has calories but they are so trivial..
