Accountability - Tuesday
I was fasting for a blood work appointment this morning. Silly me. I feel so stupid. I popped a piece of sugar free gum in my mouth on the way to the lab and they about freaked out..So I get to reschedule for tomorrow morning..Truth be told I fudged on the length of time. I ate something at 8 pm (microwave popcorn) and they were going to draw the blood at 7 am..So tonight, I'm on the straight and narrow..NOTHING but clear water after 7 pm tonight, I promise.
6:00 am 24 oz clear water
6:30 am 12 oz clear water
7:50 am 1/2 serving protein waffles with peanut butter and sugar free honey (due to having a very shunken pouch it took me half hour to eat this!)
8:30 am part of a cup of coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
9:15 am 1 oz cheddar cheese stick, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat
10:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Lipton Apple Cranberry
10:45 am 1 hard boiled egg
11:30 am 12 oz coffee w/sugar free creamer and splenda
12:00 am the rest of that cup of coffee with sugar free creamer and splenda (only cold)
12:45 pm 1/2 a burger patty (4 oz before cooking) and some spaghetti sauce with added lean beef
1:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Morning Spark Grapefruit Caffeinated
2:50 pm the other half of that burger patty and the spaghetti sauce with added lean beef, 1 slice processed american cheese
3:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Hawaiian Punch Orange
4:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Sobe Strawberry Banana
6:15 pm 4 oz fried chicken thighs, 1 dinner roll with 1/3 tablespoon margarine, 1/3 cup canned corn
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1586
Fat: 89.9
Carbs: 70.0
Protein: 133.9
Not bad..I have 15 minutes to eat something, anything...and after that..clear ice water only..nothing more until they pull the last vial out of my arm..tomorrow. I'm determined to do it right this time to see where I stand.

Fasting after 7.. I'd die! You are a strong woman.
My good eats..
Breakfast:
1 egg scrambled with cheese, onions, peppers, turkey sausage and salsa
wrapped in a LC whole wheat tortilla
Snack:
Watermelon
Lunch:
1 Cup of shrimp and veggie fried rice (made with brown rice)
Steamed broccoli
Snack:
8 cherries
100 calorie pack of dark chocolate covered almonds
Dinner:
Garden salad w/ ff Italian dressing
1/2 Cup of shredded BBQ pork
Snack:
1 Medium celery stalk filled w/ a heaping tablespoon of hummus
I don't get nearly as upset about it as my husband does...something tells me I must get really cranky when I'm fasting..LOL. When I showed up there at 7 am there was a man there who is clearly cranky when he fasts. Poor guy. I wasn't that bad, I don't think. I'll have to ask my husband and see if I'm just miserable and don't know it.
Yummy list! good variety. That's what I shoot for is variety. Sometimes I'll have the same thing for lunch as I have for dinner but I try and mix it up and include different things. Shrimp are great for protein and low calories..
