heartburn??

I'm 4 years out and have had no problems at all. Last night I got heartburn, I took 2 pepcid ac's last night and 2 more this morning. It goes away for a little while then comes back. I feel so bad, I can barely move around. Nothing I eat or drink makes it any better or worse. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, JennV

I think you might want to go to the ER. You could be having heart problems as the symptoms often mimic heartburn and it's always better to be safe than sorry.

And, if it turns out it really is heartburn, well... maybe they'll give you some prescription-strength stuff that will really knock it out.

Also, with RnY, ulcers are always a possibility and you would have to go on a PPI for a while to clear them up and it would take a while to feel better.

Thanks for posting on my topic. My first thought was a possible heart attack since I've never had indigestion pre or post op. It lasted 24 hours but I feel fine now.. go figure. If it ever happens, I will call my dr. or go to the ER.
