So the other day my daughter and I went to this lil ma & pop type restaurant where they are known for their good breakfast that's cheap, nothing fancy just a good breakfast.

My daughter ordered banana nut french toast. It's 2 slices of french toast topped with banana nut granola, sliced bananas and cinnamon and syrup. I tasted it and it was very good but sweet.
So we talked about trying it at home but a healthier version.  When I went to Target this morning, I found bear naked granola in a new flavor..  whole grain, banana nut.  I instantly thought about her breakfast so I got a bag. It's really good.

Anywho.. this morning we made it and it was so good that I want to share..

2 slices of light wheat bread
2 Egg whites
couple dashes of Cinnamon
1 pack of splenda
2 tbsp of granola
1/2 a banana
SF syrup

1. Crack the egg whites on a plate, add cinnamon, sugar and granola and stir
2. Dredge bread in egg mixture
3 put in hot pan coated with pam, cook til toasty
4. Top with sliced banana and warm SF syrup

I'm sure the carbs are not very low and protein not very high but it sure is good when I want to treat myself and I'm gonna do it the next time I have company!

**carb starved** thhhhaatttt sounds aawweesoommmeeee

I was also in the kitchen today.
i felt like i was off the hook w/ the naturals today.
earlier today i had fresh from my garden sliced tomatoe topped w/ sliced cheese stick.
then this afternoon i threw togehter some sliced tomatoes topped w/fresh basil & sliced cheese stick.
Then drizzled a bit of garlic olive oil & sprinkled it w/ black pepper & garlic powder.

Then i moved on to green onions rolled in w/ lt cream cheese spead sliced smoked ham slices.
BOMB!!!!

i havent calculated the #s yet - but im thinking they are pretty low on the carb/cal count.
the tomatoes might not be so good on the carb count - but they make a great healthy snack or meal (lol i had them for dinner).
