Topamax

Anybody take Topamax for weight loss? I am struggling with weight gain--got to get this weight off.

Prior to my WLS, I was taking Topamax for migraine prevention, and a side effect was that I did less compulsive overeating . . . it wasn't quite like an appetite suppressant, but I wasn't automatically heading to the fridge every time my stress levels were climbing, if that makes any sense.

I am having a horrible time with regain now, too . . . :-(

Thanks for the reply. My weight loss doctor gave me a tiny dosage and I just started it this week. I think I can tell I feel a little dopey. I do not seem to want to eat quite as bad. Yes, maintance is the pits. I guess we are stuck with this for a life time. I am only 5'1"and every pound shows up in my clothes. I loved being 8-10, but the 12's feel good now.
