This week is an off Friday week here at the office, so today is our Friday. As many of you who work in an office environment know, Friday's are bagel & donut days. That said, my coworker came in w/ a BAG STUFFED FULL of Starbucks pastries - but i didnt have not one.
Thats an accomplishment!

Day 4: Firm Protein
ground meat (turkey, beef, chicken, lamb), shellfish, scallops, lobster, fresh salmon or halibut. Read more.
Although today... OH WAIT -I thought i was off the wagon today, but I didnt do bad at all. I had turkey breast for lunch & lots of atkins stuff.
Thats another accomplishment (since i really wanted a greasy burger & fries FRIDAY!!). lol

I am honestly too tired to type right now.
I was up before the alarm this morning (at 5:30am which is really early for me) & at the gym by 6:10am. I did 45 mins on the TM & then worked on the core set for about another 30 mns.
THIS IS A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

Im pretty proud of myself (not tooting my horn mind you), that I set goal & have held to it.
If you recall, I committed to upping the bar & doing 30-45mins/day on the TM or Bike +
Yoga 1x/week (class on tuesdays), & mon-fri weight training, alternating: Upper/ Core/ Lower/ Core/ Upper muscle groups.

I started off w/ Upper body on monday & my arms & sholders were killing me until last night.
I did yoga & on tuesday, but didnt make it to the core group.
Yesterday i did the lower body & this morning i was back on the core group.
So Im proud of that small accomplishment. Shoot - for someone who NEVER works out - that's big :) Im sore & have difficulty walking, but its OK.

Why am i spouting off about working out & my meals plans yada yada.
For a couple of reasons actually.
1) To help hold myself accountabile
2) I forget stuff & seeing it in black & white helps me remember what i need to do & why
3) For what ever reason, i need that validation - self recognition. Not so much the pat on the back but to know that its OK & I guess that I am doing good (so maybe i do need the pat on the back lol).

I am just totally focused on & determined to get back to my goal weight as a leaner, tighter, toner, healthier person. I know we hear it all the time - be it from ourselves or from others ("i  wanna get back to what i was, im out of control" yada yada) - well - this is me taking back that control.

How did you do this week in taking control back for you?
