WOW, i didn't know that fact about the strawberries but it's probably true because i have had my share already.
I don't like support group because there is one girl who never shuts up, she think she knows everything, when its my turn to talk, she interrupts and turns it into her story!
The second reason is that i am NOT interested in hearing people's life story.. it's depressing. I'm already depressed. Group makes it worse. Sometimes i wake up in a good mood but after group, I'm sad

Maybe you should speak to the moderator about that. It's not doing you any good if you are feeling worse after you go to support group. I have nearly the same issue but I hesitate to bring it up here cuz I know she hangs around here. But it's bad...really bad.

Sometimes group is like either a poor me/ woes me/ or gripe session & thats really hard to do when you go there to be lifted up & encouraged or are on an energized HIGH. Sometimes is OK, b/c ppl DO need to vent, but im the type who vents (if need be) & then i move on. I cant hang w/ ppl who cry about their situations ALL THE TIME & do nothing to improve it.
So - i have a question...
I tend to shove stuff in my mouth & eat fast too.
I noted on the 5DPT site it says you only have 15 mins to eat your meals (which implies that you have to eat fast... but also notes to chew food well).
My ?? is this - whats the big deal about chewing - or over chewing.
I admit something i gulp my grub down & maybe i'll swallow something thats a bit too big. but it never gets stuck (to the point where im choking or anything lol). but i see it allover the place - chew your food -chew your food - chew your food - chew chew chew!!!

I believe it's two things. 1) the stoma or the opening to the stomach is small and if you don't chew well or over chew, that stoma will stretch out causing the food to move out of your pouch quicker and make you feel more hungry quicker. This is magnified if you eat and then drink right afterwards because the water will push the big chunks through the stoma and stretch it too. 2) because the signal that you are full can take 15 minutes to get from your stomach to your brain and let you KNOW you're full. So if you eat really quick, you don't get the message that your stomach is full and you eat too much.
It's been a problem with me since I was a pre-teen and living in a house where they'd cook 8 pork chops for a family of 7...the first one done may get that extra pork chop and then why would I want to sit at the table with my step siblings and step mother...better to get away from them rather than deal with the stress...but now, it's just cuz I really don't WANT to eat but NEED to eat and just want to get on with the great stuff in life.

OMG...Back away from the bread sticks! That hurts...But you can turn it around. It's just those carbs are gonna wanna call some friends. You need to step WAY back and pull the phone out of the wall so those carbs can't call ANYONE! Run FAST to the nearest dense protein and eat it. LOL.
You can do better...keep trying. It will happen.
