Infected Belly button?

It's been awhile since I've been on. Sorry!  It's been five and a half years since I had my Gastric Bypass.  For the past three of them, my belly button has been getting infected off and on.  It bleeds, drains and peels all the time.   I have been to my surgeon and he burned it with some sulfa crap that hurt like hell.  The dermatologist gave me some strong cream that hasn't worked.  He thinks that it is Psorisis.  I have used triple antibotic cream as well as cream that is used for athletes feet.  I was a light weight to begin with so I don't have a panni or anything, just alot of loose skin.  Should I be taking pictures of it incase I need to have it removed?  Would insurance cover this?  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It's worth a try if you really want to go through a surgery for it. I get that sort of thing but treat it with hydrogen peroxide occasionally. Since your belly sort of lays over onto your belly button (being an Inny now!) when you shower, water gets stuck in there. It gets alittle funky smelling and red and infected if you leave it. I don't. I end up finding a sore spot and hit it with hp...it goes away once it dries out..That's the problem: moisture

I suppose I could get the doctor to agree that it's medically necessary and yours is probably alot worse than mine..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
