I am considering WW...for those currently on the program which do you prefer?  The Online Weigh****chers or attending the actual class settings?

I have always been an in person hands on being part of the group type person, so I have always preferred the in person classes over anything else.

Attending the actual class. Going in and weighing in once a week is what kept me accountable. Once you get back on track and get the program down, you can do it online.

Just MY 2 cents..

Hi Kay,

I have signed up and started tracking my points using the etools site from materials that I found from 2004.  I was suprised that the point value for my weight had dropped.  I will be going to the classes, just waiting for another special...to join without it I believe is $40.00.

I lost 30 lbs preop doing the online program.
I tried doing the in person classes years ago, but couldnt hang w/ the intimidating feeling i got when i didnt produce the desired results.
Grant it - their counselors dont have the same approach now.
My chiropractor has lost 140 lbs w/ the WW in person classes.
So - it really differs on a per person basis.

Hi Candace,

You know we also accumulate of lot of diet material.  I found tucked away in a box WW material from 2004 including my weigh in card.  In 2004 I weighed 253lbs.

Your chiropractor losing 140lbs is GREAT!  I remember a couple of the counselors I had years ago were a piece of work also...it was about me, myself and I.  Looking forward to see what the new plan has to offer.

I think it depends on your personality. I loved doing classes at Jenny Craig and Nutri/system (back when they had centers) but I hated the WW weekly meetings. Maybe it was just our leader or just the collection of people in the group but the meetings drove me bananas.

I understand your frustrations about the weekly meetings.  My problem before WLS was making it to the weekly meetings.  It seems I always had something else too do...especially if I didn't lose or gained during any particular week.
