5D Thursday (Groundhog day AGAIN)
omg im so tired of seeing myself on here LOL

Today is my 2nd day of day 2 on the 5DPT.
i was just kinda bumbed this morning when i stepped on the scale. it wasnt nice to me (i havent lost anything yet). i shouldnt have strpped on the scale... Im trying to keep my spirits up by thinking 1) my system is going into starvation mode or 2) im building muscle while losing fat. muscle weighs more so...
Anyways - Im still on the Liquid Protein (low-carb protein shakes, broth, clear or cream soups, sugar-free gelatin and puddings).
Physically im feeling OK. Emotionally, down a tad. Mentally, struggling.
I see how many carbs im taking in now & think how the helium am I going to make it on just 20g of carbs a day for the induction stage of Atkins?!?!?!?
I also think i need to work out more... maybe 20 mins just isnt cutting it...
One thing with the WLS - i think we become accustomed to seeing that instant gratification we once had - you know, like right after the surgery when the lbs just melted off EVERY DAY. NOW - its a lot harder!

Hope you survived the 5DPT. i know that if i ever try - the second day is the worst. Now - i do not do that at all. If I want to decarb - I use shakes (low carb, water based, no fruits) during the day and the have a easy dinner - proteins + veggies. (green veggies, non starchy).
Then as the time progresses - I get additional green (no tomatoes and little onions - if any) with lemon juice and olive oil. that was - i know I eat - but not too much.
BTW - on Low fat Atkins - the 20 gr are easy to do - as long as you do not count fiber or SA. (IMO - and the way the plan is written - the fiber and the SA do not affect the BS levels - so they should not be counted.).
