I've been curious if putting in a lot of bulk into our pouches is a good idea. I'm 6 years out, and haven't done something like that, but also haven't lost all my weight either...I lost slowly and steadily for two years then have played around with about 20 pounds which is off right now. Ideally, I would like to lose another 15 pounds or so. Is this kind of thing safe with our altered insides???
Ive never done a CC either.
But i do remember when i had to be admitted to the ER for HORRIBLE stomach pains. i though there was something SERIOUSLY WRONG w/ my pouch. they did all sorts of MRIs & xrays & couldnt find a thing.
turns out - i was full of &*&$@&$@*# literally. I never want to experience something like that ever again.
That said, anything that will help keep things "moving" in the right direction & prevent me from getting stopped up will work for me.
I use to take that sodium magnesium (sp) stuff, but that was sooo harsh on my system & didnt always work. I dont always have a problem w/ constipation, but i figure a cleansing once in a while wouldnt be bad.
Additionally - You should always consult your physician before trying something new like this or making a change to your routine.
