Accountability - Tuesday

Not the Same Dawn
on 6/8/10 1:06 pm, edited 6/8/10 1:08 pm - BEE EFF EEE, CA

I hope you all got out and voted if it was voting day. I did and it feels good even if the choices aren't all that great..Started a new strategy today. Eat big when you're hungry...Still had less than 1000 calories by the end of lunch at 1:30 pm...and still had three waters in. This might work like the weekend does with two breakfasts and a late lunch, I'm thinking.

My eats for Tuesday:

5:30 am 1/4 protein waffle with reduced fat peanut butter and sugar free honey, multi, b-12, biotin, d-3, omega3, calcium citrate

6:00 am 10 oz coffee w/nsa Swiss Miss

7:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, GV Strawberry

8:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Lipton Green Tea with Honey and Lemon   \

9:00 am 3 oz cube steak left overs, 1 slice cheese on a sandwich thin (ate it SLOWLY!), 1 calcium citrate

10:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Lipton Raspberry Lime Tea

10:50 am 1 oz mozzarella cheese stick, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat, 1 calcium citrate

11:30 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Morning Spark Grapefruit Caffeinated

12:45 pm 1 small peach, 1 B-12 sublingual

1:30 pm 4 oz chicken breast roasted, 1 cup lettuce, 1/3 large cucumber (peeled) and 1 oz Zesty Italian Lite

2:15 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, GV Strawberry

3:50 pm hard boiled egg

4:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, GV Strawberry

6:00 pm 4.5 fried chicken breast with no coating, 1/3 cup canned peas and some mashed potatoes (not much)

7:30 pm two snack packs of cheese pringle stix...not proud of this snack. Not my finest hour, that is for sure..

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1557
Fat: 63.6
Carbs: 86.8
Protein: 161.0

Today I saw somewhere (on a protein shake package) that they recommend a gram of protein per lb of weight that you weigh. If that is correct, 130 is about right for me. Of course, "they" also recommend only 64 oz of water per day too. I get twice that. I'm thinking I probaby should back down on my protein some..I sure wish I had a nutritionalist at my disposal..I think I should call my PCP and see if they have one on staff at her office or near there.

There's still something to be said for steady and same ol same ol...You're doing awesome and you've lost the weight you want to lose...I keep trying to maintain and that means dealing with some mental hurdles..Things effect me more than most, I guess.

I love your lists...They look so good! I could be full to the brim and still get hungry looking at your lists..I mean, I wanna head to the store and get strawberries RIGHT NOW. LOL.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

Wow...I can't believe how great you are doing!!!! I'm amazed at the keeping track of everything that you put in your mouth. I know that's what im supposed to do, but YOU DO IT!!!! I'm so impressed that you still do this even after all these years. I don't know what mental hurdles you go thru, but evidently you get thru them just fine. My main mental hurdle is "head hunger"....I HATE that I can't get enough power within myself to overcome those old habits!!!! I wanted to read your profile story, but it's private, I understand.  I will be reading your posts all of the time!!!

Oh [blushes] Thank you...I firmly believe that it's all about building NEW habits for old ones. Used to be I'd sit around and do nothing much during the day but I get jittery and feel like I HAVE to get up and move, especially if I'm bored. I built a habit of drinking water where a smoker would be lighting up (laws notwithstanding).. I bring a bottle with me when I walk and when I drive and at my desk..

I don't have much on my profile. I lost down to below goal at 11 months and found this board with one lady posting accountability, Carla W. She's since moved on because that's what life does, it keeps moving...so I do this to keep myself accountable..AND I do it so that I can see what everyone is eating because it inspires me to try new things or look into them, at least..

You can do it. Just a small thing at a time and soon, you'll be chugging right along there.

The very first thing I did was start parking further from the door at any store. Clear on the other side of the Mall from where I want to shop..I have a desk job but two or three times a day I pick up the mail and hand deliver it. Those people who deliver our mail are SKINNY! LOL.

Good luck to you. Send me a friend invite and I'll add you.

I went to a nutritionist after surgery but she just did not seem to get what WLS pt should be eating; and she was the one assigned by the WLS surgeon.
0800-protein drink
1000-ww breakfast sandwich
1300-3 oz grilled chicken, tzaiki sauce and 1/2 pita
1700-scrambled eggs w rf cheese and 100 call english muffin w light butter and sf jelly
2100rf wheat thins and string cheese
3 mile run and all my water and such. Is it really only Wednesday; it feels like at least Thursday!

Isn't that the turth? My PCP tries to understand. The allergist tries harder..Nutrition and psych generally have NO clue on what to advise us..

It will be Thursday and Friday soon enough...We cant' stop it and it will happen..We also can't make it get here any quicker, sadly.

Great list again. Looks like less carbs today. I think on your running/zumba days you do good to have a bit more carby stuff..It just amazes me to see your lists! Good job.

Keep up the good work. See ya.
