I had the lapband surgery about three years ago.  I have lost some weight and still working on it. I have noticed that my muscles feel very soft to me. I was overweight before but I had good solid muscle tone. I am not quite sure what to do. Do anyone have any suggestions? I am wondering if I have damaged muscle tissue from the weight loss.

I took had a good muscular system before WLS and have lost quite a bit of muscle mass during weight loss.

I'm trying to get my strength back up by taking yoga (muscle toning), zumba (aerobics) and weight training.  I can see an improvement just from those activities.

You will need to exercise the areas you find have lost muscle.  Legs, arms, etc.  It will come back!

While losing the weight really helps us be healthier, lifting weights (Heavy weights!) is what can transform us even more!

I am a very firm believer in eating tons of lean protein and complex carbs along with the weight training.

I'll suggest a great book. Body For Life by Bill Phillips. IT's not overly new at all so you should be able to obtain a copy from your library.

Aside from losing the weight, pumping iron is the second most transformative thing I've ever done.
