Hysterectomy questions?????

I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in May, my GYN said I would be cut from hip to hip and he could use the same scar from my hernia/panni (in 2006). My question is will this surgery mess up my panni?  I also got an new bellybutton with this surgery. Should I get another panni with this surgery? Anyone have a similar situation?

Are they cutting like that because of exsisting scar tissue?  I had a tiny incision for mine and was so pleased.  I never had any plastics after WLS (Over 7 years out).

Well, he said he would use the existing scar because he will be removing the uterus and the ovaries. I am concerned about the tightness, don't know if my GYN will tighten as he closes or not. Just wondering if anyone else had had a hysterectomy after tt. Wondering if I could get a PS to come in and do an anchor cut tt when my GYN is finished??? Anyone know? Thanks.
