Well, I stressed over food during my jury duty for no apparent reason..Although they had only vending machines for food and brought in mini cupcakes with green sugar frosting, I brought my own stuff and was good today! Check THIS!

Not bad..I made a chocolate protein cake but I'm tired and I'm headed to bed...Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day...Wearin o' the green, you know. Not too much more time before I'm leaving and will be off line for a while...I'll check in but I'm not keeping the numbers. I'll just be posting the foods I'm eating.

How did you do? Keep after it!

Actually, the biggest pile of carbs are good carbs...banana, chili, apple..strawberries. the bread and small corn bread are just little pieces...You did awesome. Carbs are needed and you had 85% GOOD carbs. cool. And you're upping the water intake too..

Keep up the good work. See ya.

I would like to know about the protein pancakes.  Have never heard of that.  Exact name and where you bought them.

Thanks so much

Cynthia,

Sorry, there is no short answer on that one.

I make them myself. 2 eggs, 1/2 cup cottage cheese (non fat or full fat, whatever suits you) and then 1/3 cup whole grain pancake mix..Fiber One has one, I use CarbQuick that I buy on line at netrition.com. All that is mixed, usually the eggs first because I like them really blended and then the cottage cheese. Someone said you can use a blender but I use my stand mixer on high...It works okay.

Then I make six smallish pancakes on the griddle. I let three of them cool and put them in a zip lock bag and save them for later or the next day..they're pretty good cold with peanut butter on them too. I can have them with sugar free syrup or sugar free jam and butter buds..all are good. Some days I put a splash of a sugar free syrup in the mix like strawberry or like this morning, toasted marshmallow...Last week I made up a BUNCH of batches and actually used sugar free chocolate syrup with sugar free hershey bar (the little mini's broken up) and I have them for when we go on vacation. Frozen they keep a long time!

Thanks so much.  That sounds good.  I am having a really hard time getting my protein in each day.  I went and bought a food sealer because I was throwing so much food away.  This would be great to make and package for later.

Without the reduced fat peanut butter the stats for a half serving are like this:

Calories: 173
FAt: 10 grams
Carbs: 10 grams
Protein: 16.2

A whole serving is better but I just can't eat a whole serving! The peanut butter adds 180 calories and only 7 grams of protein so, maybe it's not worth it but it tastes really good.
