Interesting article on Omega-3

I came across this article on Omega-3 Fatty Acid.  It raises some interesting thoughts on my "mystic diet" hypothesis.  I've also heard the idea expressed as:  Food is more than the sum of its parts.

If you're like me, you grew up with the news that red meat was bad and because of the saturated fat caused heart disease.  I'm sure too much of anything is bad but missing from that proclamation is the fact that modern beef is corn fed and lacking in Omega-3 which just so happens to help prevent heart disease.  I mean, think about the circular logic here.

Beef cattle is evolutionarily designed to eat grass.  The meat from these animals natually contains Omega-3
In order to get inexpensive beef, we feed it inexpensive corn.  The O3 content in the beef goes down
The rate of heart disease goes up
Now we are creating "Omega 3 enriched beef" and selling that as healthy.  Yet, nobody has stopped to ask the question: should we be feeding corn to beef?

And just because science now thinks that industrially adding O3 will solve the problem, what else might be missing: Omega-6 or maybe Vitamin-E?
