Accountability - Wednesday
Well, I felt good enough to go to work. It would have been nice to have a voice so I could yell at the idiots who have forgotten everything I ever taught them about the accounting system but maybe not having a voice was a good thing. It made me work harder on my written communication skills. Lord knows those can use improving!

Keep resting the voice, count to 10 in your head. They did not forget they just want someone to do their work for them probably. I get so tired of hearing I don't remember that email or I never heard that before;BALONEY!
)830 Starbucks rf turkey bacon breakfast sandwich
1030-rs brownie
1230-cold meatloaf on a low carb wrap and a cup of soup
1400-low fat popcorn
1645-cottage cheese and fruit cup
1845-2 mini donuts
1930 baked salmon and smashed potatoes
2100-probably a skinny cow or sf jello and a piece of cheese sounds good too.
I did an hour of zumba and my knees are a bit sore, but I have a standing date for Thursday morning runs so I will rest the knees on Friday! All my water and such.
DD had drama at school, she is almost 10. A froend told a boy she had a crush on him and she is so upset. I do not remember this stuff ubtil junior high! Poor girl if she only knew the worst is yet to come!

You're right. I think girls are getting into that sort of thing earlier too. I'm SO glad my teenage girls are behind me. Boys are oblivious to girls, even into their 20's...My son is that way, he has NO clue! But girls can be so catty.
You're right about the emails and instruction too. But I'm telling them it will take longer to get stuff and I'm not in a rush. I'm documenting everything so when they come to my boss and say I'm holding up the works, I have ammunition..I've been burned before so I know!
Your list looks good. I usually get carb-shocked but I know you work out so it's alright! LOL.
Keep up the good work. See ya.

All you need to do is think of it (drinking) as a habit. When you get in the car, bottle of water. Pushing a cart at the store, bottle of water. Watching television, bottle of water. I got the inspiration from my husband's filthy smoking habit. It seemed like as soon as we pulled out the driveway, he lit up a cigarette. As soon as he gets on the phone, cigarette...so you just have to build those triggers. Now when I get in the car, I automatically get thirsty! When my hands are not typing on the computer, I reach for a bottle of water...and when I get up to walk around and deliver mail, bottle of water.. That's why it's easier for me at work...at home, I haven't built that television=water trigger yet...but I'm working on it.
You're doing wonderful on your protein and good carbs...Keep up the good work. Tha****er habit will come in time...See ya.

I had coffee & my oatmeal for breakfast...
Just venting...
Yesterday - i come home early (because my son was suspended from school for fighting) & my dad tells me about an hour later that he was able to get in to see his PCP Dr. for the coughing & the swelling in his leg, so we go in at 4:40pm.
The Dr takes one look at his leg & says that's a possible blood clot & i want you to go to the ER right now (as their ultrasound tech had already gone home). there was some ish about going to the ER (he didnt want to go & I said well Danny wouldnt agree w/ that!) & the Dr. chimed back in saying - NOOO... i said i recommend that you go to the ER now, but if you choose not to follow my recommendation thats basically on you. So I said your going (& thats that)!
Off to the ER we go - they did an ultrasound for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) & couldnt find any clot.
(not to mention btw the tuffel we got into IN the ultrasound when i just said you know what - i dont have to take this & I left. blah blah blah - all of which is really not important at this point - but i left & went to IN & OUT & got both of us some food b/c its like 7pm at this point & neither of us had eaten anything - so that was my lunch/dinner)
They took blood (of which he complained about of course) & ran some tests - his white blood count is not elevated, so there's no infection.
They did a chest xray for the cough, then they did another kind of ultrasound to see if it was a blocked artery - but it wasnt. What they did find is plaque in his vein & said he has to go in to see his surgeon first thing today. we have an appt w/ him at 11:30 as dad is still sleeping.
7 hours later, we leave the ER (so its about 2am). we get home & he cant make it in the house. we tried for over a half an hour to get him in, he fell a couple of times (like jsjustlowly sank down & would catch him - he fought me while saying imI'mot fighting you honey - but his hand is clasped onto the rail not allowing me to move him), i brought his chair outside & put him in it & tried to wheel him back up the stairs & threw my back out (its fine, sore but fine) - we tired everything to get him up stairs but I couldnt do it. Poor Daisy (my dog) was going nuts crying all worried about papa. papa was on the ground (stairs) just weak - no strength to lift himself at all. He was just totally wiped out! SO i had no choice but to call 911 for help. They sent out the fire dept & ambulance & 4 guys picked him up & walked him into the house. They put him in his chair & then to his room to bed.
OH THEN after they left - he went back outside on the porch to smoke! its past 3am at this point. i just went to bed.
Thank God for my sister who picked up son from school & kept him at her place until i was able to leave work; & for my BF who came & picked up my son at the house (because i didnt know how long we were gonna be at the ER). Im so I'm glad that he stayed at shays - he didnt need to see that mess from this morning.
thats pretty much it in a nutshell...
i didnt even bother w/ the logging/counting of numbers. i had 2 burgers & a diet coke.
i wish i could go back to bed, but i need to research skilled nursing facilities for my dad (who lives w/ me for the moment) to go to & i have to get him up so we can go see his Dr.
NOthing to eat this morning - yet anyway - just coffee...

Oh Honey! Parents are sometimes worse than children! I feel so bad for you..And having the son pulling stuff too...Does he know what his actions and the timing of them did, at least?
But at least everything turned out alright..What is Dad trying to do? Die at home so that you get to wait for them to take his body out of the house? Yikes...to even think of the possibility! And then all the trouble to get him inside when he goes BACK out to smoke?!? I'd be beside myself with frustration..
I'm so sorry. We recently had a friend who wanted desperately to die at home (and did) and all I can think of is when people gather to say their final farewells at the house and that person passes away it can take up to 4 HOURS for them to come and remove your loved one...I just don't think I want the grandbabies to experience that! Thankfully in our friends' case, the grandchildren (and great grandchildren) were on their way but not there before he died. That was the visitors we had, the family that was paying their last respects..
DH and I are getting up there in age and dh smokes. He's 67 years old in a month or so...He's got emphasema already...I'm thinking about all the possible scenarios at this point..He can be pretty hard to handle from time to time...not to that argumentative point yet but still. I just know that we'll have all that drama at one point or another..
I'm praying for you...and papa and your son and sister and bf...
