Hello everyone my name is ericia I had gastric bypass 1year ago and I have lost 120lbs with the surgery,
I am now trying to do the healthy diet with 1200 calories a day getting all my fiber protein and carbs. Well it don’t seem like I am losing weight just maintaining I drop my calories to 600 last month and I lost 10lbs but this month it seem really hard to lose weight. I feel like dropping my calories again but I know if I do it my energy will drop. I am just wondering if you have 130carbs a day not simple carbs just the complex carbs, will you maintain? I have 24lbs I want to lose and it dose not seem to working
Ok I drink 80oz fluid a day 1200calories a day 20 fats a day 80protein a day and 130carbs a day I workout 4days a week burning 2400calories a week.
Do anyone out there have any tips for me, thanks

Each person is different but I usually go over 100 protein, less than whatever protein number for carbs, emphasis on good whole grain or veggie/fruit carbs...I fluxuate from 1300 to 1800 calories a day...generally around 1500 a day. Fats I don'****ch because it's good for keeping you regular and good for your skin... I don't know how many calories I burn a day but I'm maintaining about 125 to 130 pounds with my intake. I also drink about a gallon (126 oz) of water a day too. I do not work out but I do move around alot.

Take a look at our accountability thread. Each of us is different and headed in different directions.

Good luck to you
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Try 50% Protein, 30% Carb and 20% fat.  So on 1200 calories a day you'd be looking at:

150g Protein.  90g Carb and 27g Fat.  If you have 3 protein supplements a day, that's 60g, the rest can come from food.

Wow.. I have to say that I don't think I could get 130gms of carbs in daily if I tried!  I suspect if I did I would gain.

I limit white carbs to 20gms daily and unlimited veggie carbs.  I probably average about 40gms of carbs daily.
