I totally agree! Sometimes you can "know" something for a long time, and it's totally obvious...but until the light goes on...it might as well be in arabic or something..
What a nice relaxing day yesterday was..It was the calm before the storm. Probably Friday we will have descend upon us, a hoard of locusts..8 people coming to stay with us for about 10 days..Some of them are not well behaved ...so I may need to take some emergency days off. We'll see. For now, my stress level isn't elevated to Def-Con 5 yet but I can feel my blood pressure slowly rising...I may need some mental help this week! I should know by Saturday what the next week will hold. I may be totally off base with my fears but we'll hope for the best and plan for the worst..

Our friend's father died last night so there will be a funeral in the mix. He got home at 10 pm and died about 1:30 AM this morning...leaving me with all sorts of questions like, if that should happen at our house, how long would a body have to sit there? Given the fact that it takes 45 minutes for an ambulance to come when you NEED help...maybe several hours of a body sitting around. I'm not sure how creepy that would be even if it is a loved one. Depending on who was in the house at the time (children, grandchildren...) what would THAT be like? I think dh and I need to talk about this alittle more.
Just too many things to think about. Our friend's wife also had WLS surgery so I needed to know what portions of the "rules" she's following and what she can and can not eat...so we're all caught up on that. They'll be here Friday, probably. The child that I was concerned over is still a psychological mess (violent too) so I'll be worried about the animals because our little Chihuahua Jack Russell is old and doesn't take much abuse..I may have to muzzle me a child, I guess. And I'll be getting anything breakable or treasured put away tonight and tomorrow.

I snacked a lot today. Nothing bad but just a little bit at a time. Work was slow so I snacked my way through it.
