I absolutely can't adopt him...I'm so sad because I know where we live he'd just get himself in trouble and shot..

Yes, I do believe he was dropped off. He didn't want to get back into a car; he had that "someone who loved me left me here." look on his face...just heart breaking!

Yeah, you really do need to get that carb number under control...Yikes..that's rough..and it's hard, once you get so deep, to cut it down...it's so worth the trouble and the cravings but you have to pull yourself up and get 'er done...
