What a lovely day! We decided to take a nice drive up to Wrightwood to take a look at the ski resort up there. I'm thinking I want to try skiing..and it's not that expensive.

Then on the way home, we stopped in the middle of no where. There was a dog on the side of the road on a piece of cardboard..I had dh turn the car around so we could help if we could..We stopped and it was a huge pitbull dog..He had white eyes! I was alittle afraid but the poor thing was maybe hurt. So I spoke to him and asked if he was okay..He wagged his tail so I knew I was okay. I looked him over and he rolled onto his back...a sign that he was submitting...What a sweetheart! His head was about 14 inches across...huge jaws. But wagging his tail! So we picked him up and put him in the car (he weighed what I weigh!) and took him to the pound. He litterally wouldn't quit licking my face (because I couldn't fit him on my lap OR in the seat!) I'd have taken him home because he was really sweet but he was more likely to find his owner (if they still wanted him and didn't dump him off) or a new owner at the pound...

Okay! My eats for the day:

B: 1 protein waffle with margarine and sugar free syrup

Snack: 2 bottles of water (48 oz total with flavor packets)

2B: 2 eggs, 1/2 cup home fries, 2 slices rye toast without the crust

L: hmmm. no lunch.

Snack: 24 oz bottle of water

Snack: dark chocolate covered soy nuts (100 calorie pack)

Snack: Pringles Stix, Cheddar Cheese (100 calorie pack)

Snack: 24 oz bottle of water

Dinner: 4 oz chicken thigh, grilled, 3 oz sweet potatoes, 5 cauliflower flowerets

Dessert: 1/3 serving of protein microwave chocolate cake

I'm thinking 10 oz herb tea before bed...tomorrow, back to work and "normal"

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1248
Fat: 62.4
Carbs: 90.6
Protein: 84.7

Well, the carbs were not too good...but the calories are really low and the protein is okay.

How did you do?

To you for saving such a sweet dog! I hope he finds his owner or a new owner that will love him!
Today has been good. I got up early and did a big grocery shopping trip. I was sick of just getting stuff for a couple of days and going back too much. I shouldn't need anything for a while. After grocery shopping, I came back home, did some cleaning then relaxed in bed til work.

My good eats..

B: 1 lg boiled egg & 3 turkey sausage links

S:  Protein shake

L: 4 hot wings & 1/2 cup of vegetable fried rice

S: boiled egg

S: a mini banana nut muffin ... i tried to stay away but couldn't.

D: Lean cuisine frozen dinner

S:  1/2 a mango & handful of grapes

I don't think that mini banana nut muffin did any damage at all. You're still trying to build yourself back up to normal...

You did really good.

I keep thinking about that sweet dog. I just wish I could have taken him home but there's no way. That's the fastest way to make a sweet dog go bad. Out where we are there are way too many temptations for a good dog...and too much of a chance that he'd get shot doing something bad!

It's best the way it ended but I sure sit here wishing....

Keep up the good work. See ya.

What a cute story about the dog! Our dog was found wandering in the country. A friend of DH took her in( he had a farm and 5 other abandonned dogs) she had her puppies and we took her. She was my mothers day gift nearly eight years ago. She is a sweetie.
B-egg beater omellette with light cheese and tons of veggies
S-pistachios
L-grilled chicken with greek yogurt sauce and 1/2 pita
S-muscle milk light
S-tuna cup and 2 wasa whole grain crackers
D-2 slices delite papa murphy pizza
S-sf jello
130 grams of protein and only 80 carbs! Under 1300 calories. This is the best day I have had in a long time. I was going to do the 5 day thing but did not feel like it once I got towork! I have had tons of water and decaf peppermint tea. No exercise but I did zumba yesterday and plan on a run in the morning. If the jello does not do the trick I will have a string cheese but am trying to stay away from the carbs!

We see so many drop-off dogs out where we are, you can tell by the look on their face what happened...they're so thankful for someone to love them even just enough to get them off the road..He was such a sweetheart...I wish I could have kept him...but no way.

Not bad at all. Great list. and really good numbers. You did awesome! Just upping the water might help with the carb cravings. You'll get it gone in no time. Keep up the good work. See ya.
