SUPRISE!!!!
The last few months I've been through tons of tests for pain in the upper left quadrant, all the tests came back normal. So they decided to go in laprascopically to check things out and fix what they find.
I had surgery on Wednesday. The surgeon said I was a mess inside! LOTS of scar tissue and adhesions on the left side!!! RNY side!!! He seperated them and cleaned up the scar tissue. He said there was a Petersen's defect (hernia) too! I suspected it! He and I went round and round about it. He said that all my pain was an ulcer! NOT!!
The last few weeks the pain has been spreading to the right side and I felt like my abdomen was swollen. Hard to tell cause the skin post weightloss is so squishy and it is after the holidays. But still...I had a feeling. Well...to his HUGE surprise he saw that my gallbladder was at least 5 times bigger than normal!!! He said he didn't feel comfortable about leaving it in so he took that out too! UH...Ya Think!!!??? ;0) The enlarged galbladder was a huge surprise cause the CT scan, sonogram, and other tests showed it as normal! It just goes to show you..pay attention to your body! YOU know best!!!!
At least we now know what all the pain was all about! Now I'm on the mend and will be back in the saddle soon! Looking forward to that! I'm not a patient patient. I'm ready to get going now!! I've been told that I HAVE to allow myself to heal or I'll be right back in the hospital! OH...OK!! Sheesh...
I forgot the pain from the c02 was so bad. UGH...it settled in my neck and shoulders. And of course it feels and looks like I've been stabbed in the abdomen 5 times! I guess I have if you think about it!
Hopefully my post will help people who are trying to find an answer to their pain. DO NOT ignore it! I did for 3-4 months and these last 2 months has been hell! Listen to your gut....literally!!
Take care of yourselves!

I'm so glad your doctor finally got a clue! That's awesome...now you can go on from here.
Brilliant on his part, don't you think? NOT..LOL. But at least it's all taken care of. Thanks for giving us the heads up on that..

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
