P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

so what does that mean in two years you will most likely get it?

I am really struggling with having this done .  I am starting to think that the lap band is the way to go.

Were you prediabetic before you had your surgery.

I do not know if I asked you this but any problems with complication or vitimin  problems

\I do not want  to have to drink protein shakes forever

it just seems to be the pattern. part of our morbid obesity disease is a broken pancreas. it might act u*****t.

i would not change my surgery type for nuttin'. no way

not officially pre-diabetic. both parents, grandparents..... I think my birthday hadn't quite arrived before I had WLS

well, in my particular case, whatever nutrition issues were early on. it'd be hard for them to sneak up on me in my current life. however, I am not speaking for anyone else on that. many are derailed by these issues and SURGERY TYPE DOES NOT MATTER!

I dont' mind protein shakes. I do 6 per day. They help me fight myu disease of morbid obesity. Control appetite, cravings meal volume.

Sometimes I kinda think I'm a lil more OCD about my wt loss and my nutrition levels than the average person, tho, so YMMV
