I am freezing this morning after coming inside from 13 degrees from work. Could anyone give me a quick and easy meal I could have when I come in from work in the mornings? Something easy that I could even make up ahead with lots of protein. I've had the arnolds double protein toast with a smear of peanut butter and some milk but I want to get away from the carbs so much since I'm trying to get rid of a few pounds. Someone mentioned "protein balls". How do you make those?
I'd appreciate any suggestion.
Thanks so much@

i made these into a bar the other day. didnt want to fit with the balls. they taste so good..
Protein Balls Recipe
The pb and oatmeal balls are VERY easy.

1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup rolled oatmeal -- not the instant stuff
1 cup protein powder (I use Chocolate, but you can use other flavors)
5 packets Splenda

Warm the peanut butter in microwave about 30-40 seconds -- it melts it and makes mixing in the other ingredients much easier. Add the oatmeal, protein powder, and Splenda and mix well. (If needed, you can add a little bit of water to make it easier to mix)  Roll into walnut sized balls, refrigerate. Store in fridge in zip-lock baggies. This recipe makes 20-24 balls.

I made homemade fritatas

I pan fried (using cooking spray) mushrooms, onions, & green peppers. I put these in a pie pan and then covered with egg whites. I topped that off with bacon bits (Hormel) , tamed jalapenos, and fat free cheese. I baked it and then put it under the broiler to make the cheese all bubbly. All of that good eating for under 200 calories...and filling too.

Quick oats with added protein like TVP or protein powder. You'd add it to the cereal before you microwave it. Also malto meal with protein. That can make regular more like chocolate..It's warm.

My pouch absolutely will shut down on me if I try and do anything cold for breakfast. It has to be warmed up. fussy little pouch!

Hey Janie,
Cold here too!

I make these in a muffin pan and freeze them.  My daughter loves them as well.  I just pop them in the microwave when I want one.

I just mix egg, ham, cheese, onion or any other ingrediant you want and bake them in a muffin pan till done.  I keep them in the freezer.  My daughter loves them as well.  They are like mini quiche's.  Just make sure that you use a non-stick muffin pan and pam or they will stick.

Good luck!
