You make an excellent point because I have no problem with cheese but get sick off of store bought skim, 2%, whole and even lactose free milk.    The lactose free milk should have been a wake up call but it wasnt until just now when you mentioned it that a light bulb went off.  I just didnt bother to try anything else and gave up on milk altogether because Im not crazy about soy milk.  I must try the powder milk I remember using some when I was first out but dont remember how much I like it.

My cousin says you can get raw organic cows milk at Fair Food Farmstead in the Reading Terminal Market. They sell pints, so you could try it first without investing a lot.  FFF may also have starting selling goats milk because they were thinking about it this fall. Organic/raw goats milk from Hendricks Farms & Dairy in Telford as part of a buying club (they also have lots of other good organic produce & meat).

Goat milk does take a little getting used to, but it is generally accepted as the "hypoallergenic" milk for people who have problems with milk/lactose (not a real allergy to milk proteins).
