Hi everyone. I haven't been on a board in a long time but need some friends that understand  and that  can give me some much needed help.I had the sleeve done June 07 and have had absolutely no problems. I lost right at 60 lbs but  am starting to gain some weight back, I still need to lose 15 lbs but find myself  grazing all day long and can't get motivated to get back on program.I think I will go to ww tues morning and see if that will get me going . Even tho everyone tells you this is only a tool I think most of us go into this thinking it is permanent solution.

You're absolutely right about WLS being a tool. But please remember all of the other tools that you have and know about. I try to use all my tools every day including:

drink 70 oz. water (crystal lite)
walk 2.5 miles every morning
eat slowly
take all recommended vitamins
don't drink with meals
stay connected to other people (OH, support groups)

Even though I find myself grazing at times (mostly when I bored at work), I follow all of the above tools and so far have been maintaining my weight for 1.5 years.

I think WW is a good tool also, giving you support and making you accountable to the scale.

Good luck!

Thanks Cathy for your reply. I appreciate it so much. You are doing so good and hopefully I will be able to get back on track now. Yes I will, I know I will. How is that for positive thinking?

Grazing, that's what gets most of us.  I've gained almost 20 pounds in the last 3 years,

I will get back on track!!!!!

I too have gained weight back. I think the most of all the posts. I have gained back a whopping 30 #'s and went into a depression u wouldnt believe. I spoke to a friend who had the same problem and her response made so much sense. I was living like I never had the surgery. I ate when I was hungry, I never attached myself to a support group, and after i stopped dumping I ate as much chocolate as I wanted. I even stopped with my vitamins and protein. When  I realized that I TOTALLY SABBOTAGED myself I went back to basics...WAY HARD TO DO @ 5 1/2 YRS OUT. TRY GOING BACK TO BASICS AND EMBRACING THE FACT THAT YOU FELL OFF THE WAGON AND CLIMB BACK ON.I  PRAY FOR THE GRAZING TO STOP.

Just wanna get it right

Grazing, for me is something I do out of stress and boredom. If I have the right foods there, than grazing isn't much of a problem. Nuts, cheese, proteins, lots of liquids and some protein shakes.

Eating a few almonds is better than a bag of chips. You've got the crunch and chew sensation and it's satisfying and good for you.

Also, staying well hydrated can keep you full enough so you 'can't' graze. At least I can't.
