I had a wow moment...last week.

Roger, who has been out with gastric issues came back to our office last week. I've worked with him about 2 years. He came to this office a year after my WL surgery so he never saw me as a obese person. He came back and was telling me that he had a medical emergency after his long gastric illness but said that it was well worth getting it fixed...I agreed with him and referenced gastric surgery as being hard but worth it...

he asked me how long it had been, I told him three years. He said "I just thought you'd always been thin."

Me? THIN? It just sounds so funny to me. So I showed him a before picture.

Even now, three and a half years out...I still have my wow moments..

I got carded buying my daughter cigs. And the girl kept telling me how she wish she was as skinny as me and how beautiful I am. I kept saying me. Trust me nobody wants to be me. I have way many issues.

People outside of our closest friends don't really see what is happening on the inside. It's not really a bad thing but they just don't understand. It';s like all those people who said having the surgery was the easy way out...They have no idea.

Remember "Forgive them, they don't know"
