I'm SO ready for tomorrow's holiday..Plans include (but not limited to) going to a movie and going shopping...then home to take a nap, I'm sure. Those protein pancakes are KILLER filling. I'm still dialing in the serving size, I'm thinking I may need to split them THREE ways and have them as two snacks during the day AND breakfast..
5:00 am 10 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

6:00 am 3 protein pancakes with sugar free syrup and butter buds
6:45 am 10 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
7:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, GV Strawberry
8:30 am 3 protein pancakes with sugar free syrup and butter buds (the other half of the whole batch)
9:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Wylers Light Cool Raspberry
10:50 am 4 oz chicken breast (baked) 1/3 cup mashed potatoes, 1/3 cup canned green beans, 1 T Cheese Whiz as topping
11:30 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Morning Spark Grapefruit Caffeinated
12:45 pm 1 medium apple with sugar free caramel syrup and sugar free marshmallow...about a tablespoon of each
1:10 pm a bite of a raisin bagel. I was curious to see if I could eat it. Wanted some cream cheese but we only had honey walnut and since walnuts will make my throat close up, I decided to just try 1 inch of bagel without cream cheese...it's not the same. sigh..
1:30 pm 12 oz Drink Mix, Crystal Light Hydration Berry Splash
2:30 pm 4 oz Dannon Light n Fit, Strawberry
2:55 pm 1 sugar free frosted oatmeal cookie
3:30 pm 12 oz Drink Mix, Crystal Light Hydration Berry Splash
4:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Sobe Living Way Banana Strawberry

7:00 pm 1 burger on a bed of lettuce with swiss and mushrooms..didn't even need any sauce!

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1305
Fat: 57.4
Carbs: 111.5
Protein: 103.3

Hmm. I'm not really hungry but knowing that number is low leaves me open for a snack if I want...

How did you do? Have a great tomorrow if you have it off and even if you don't...Keep on the trail, it does lead away from where you are..

Hello Dawn.
I hope your day off went as planned. It sure sounds relaxing. Unfortunately, I do have to work but it's my last day for 7 DAYS!!! My bday is Friday so I thought it would be a good time to just use some PTO up, rest, do some classwork and just enjoy the days.

Last week, I found out my iron levels have dropped to 10! OMG, no wonder my head has been hurting and I feel so dang tired. She increased my iron to 3 times a day and a multi vitamin w/ extra iron and eat iron enriched foods. So you will be seeing me eat a lot of ground beef, steak, green vegetables, shrimp and beans for the next few weeks.

My good eats...

B: 1 egg scrambled w/ cheese and ground beef

S:  Beef jerky

L: 1 cup of chili topped w/ RF cheddar cheese

D: 3 oz grilled steak & steamed brocccoli

S:  Boiled peanuts

That's it for me..

Pair that beef with tomato and you have quaduple the iron in that...Vitamin C with iron just squeezes more out, I found. I found I just can't take iron years ago cuz it binds me up tight! So I ate fried liver and hamburgers with tomato...buffalo burgers. I bet I'm the ONLY RNY patient who had their iron go UP after surgery.
