I had my surgery in 2006. lost 110 pounds and have gained back 30 in the last 2 years. Im so dissapointed ,not in the surgery but myself for letting it happen. I remember going to my support groups and hearing people talk about how much they could eat after the first year or 2, I thought they were nuts, but they werent. Im still amazed at the amount I can consume. Wish that honeymoon period lasted a lifetime, but it doesnt. Sure I tried the 5 day pouch test, and tried to decarb myself, but I really need help, so to weigh****chers I went, hopefully this will get me back on track and be able to get some of this weight back off. Thanks for listening, Deb

I wish you the best of luck!  I am in the same boat as you.  I am 2 years out very soon and in the past several months I have giaed about 15 pounds.  WW did not work for me this time and neither did a weight loss program through my Fitness Center at work.  My DH and son have also had surgery and are in the golden first year.  Both have hit goal or very close - and neither exercise.  I just can;t help but think will they be where I am next year - or I am a failure and they will be successful.

I really hope that both of us can get ourselves back on track.  I know that only I can help myself and I need to do it - NOW!

I tried WW, too.  I got too hungry and it didn't allow enough protein.  However, not being on it isn't working either!
Good luck.

Hi I to noticed WW being more low protein but I drink one of my protein drinks at least once a day and it gives me 23 grams plus only 2 points. So am hoping that will help. Deb

Congratulations on making a decision to take control

Control is really what the  WW plan is about.. i was on it the beggining of the year and found it easy with our restriction.. however as the others have mentioned protein was an issue for me..

What drink are you using that is 2 pts... Inquiring minds need to know..

I went off the plan when I have a thyroid cancer reoccurrence but plant go back soon.. .

The plan really made me think about what i was eating and that is a good thing and the meeting were always supportive.. even if you don't follow the plan completely.. I liked the accountability.

Good Luck!

The protein powder I use is called Pure Protein, 100% whey protein. 110 calories per scoop, 2 grams total fat and <1 gram dietary fiber which is how you calculate your points. So that is only 2 points and gives me 23 grams of protein, I usually have one after water arobics every morning.  Im hopeing WW works for me this is just my first week but has already got my eating in control, if I could lock my husband up somewhere it would be easier, he eats all the time and only weighs 158, makes me crazy, Deb

I wish you all the luck in the world and am so glad you posted. I used to be a regular on here before and right after surgery and then went to sparkpeople.com, which is a great site! but just not finding the support I need lately. I am 2 years out of surgery and have gained 30 lbs back. I started working out in June, 5-6 days a week, for a least an hour a day and have kept that up and not lost a single lb i dunno....so today I begin my strict protein regime and hopefully, somehow get back on track....recent pictures of me are DISGUSTING
